Moonrakers Athletics Club
Welcome to Team Devizes - Moonrakers AC Homepage
The club was formed in 2007 by established Devizes based coaches. We aim to train any, particularly young athlete who wishes to attend our sessions whether they wish to compete in their chosen events or not.
News
Donation to the Club:
The recent AGM (4th Nov 09) had a different highlight to that of many clubs. Former regular member Catherine Russ retains her links with the club. Catherine competed in the Devizes to Westminster Canoe race this Easter, and requested sponsorship jointly for the Team Devizes – Moonrakers AC and an aid trip she is making to Kenya next year. This meant that Catherine was able to present the club with a cheque for £256.25.
2009 AGM
The 2009 AGM was held at 1830 hours at Devizes School gymnasium on 4 Nov 09.
Community Amateur Sports Club
From the 16th of December 2008 the club is a Comunity Amateur Sports Club CASC Number 05219. This means we are an open club aspiring to serve the wider community our current limitation being people willing to become active in running the club. i.e. we would love to have a coach specalising in providing training for diabled athletes - could this be you? Additionally CASC membership opens access to Charitable funding and Gift Aid to us.
WinterTraining Venue
Team Devizes - Moonrakers AC Wednesday evening training sessions now take place at Devizes School. We continue to retain our links with Downland School and some notified sessions will occasionally happen there.
Partnership
In 2008 we became a Partnership Club with Devizes School Sports College.

Training with the club continues to be very popular and this means we need more coaches and volunteers. Please help us continue coaching by giving your time to assist with training sessions.
For insurance purposes we will have to insist athletes wishing to train with us will need to become members. Membership Application Form
