Gemma Young - Shot Putt - U17 Girls
Gemma took up shot in May 07 and entered her first competition as an U15 girl to achieve a throw
of 8.22m. From there Gemma quickly established herself as a lead competitor notching up a number of first and second place results. Within 3 months Gemma found herself number one in Wiltshire and number two in the Power of 10 rankings.
Now in the U17 grouping Gemma has already competed indoors and impressively has landed herself as number 36 in the U17 Power of 10 rankings.
